INSPIRED BY STANFORD ATHLETES nike learnt that Stanford athletes were training barefoot on the university's golf course, and soon enough set out to create a shoe that felt natural and wieghtless, offering a barefoot feel. In 2002, they set out to measure the insole pressure in a set of women and men to understand the biomechanics of shoeless running. After researching the findings, Nike set about to create one of the most unconventional and flexible shoes what we today know as the Nike Free Run+ 2.
